Phipps Conservatory: students from Room 106 used iPads to each research a plant. During their trip to Phipps they learned about different plant biomes and found the plants that they had researched. What fun and excitement to find their plants and learn about all the others!
I went there with my group
106 was my homeroom when I worked there years ago. This reminds me of the time Mrs. Hay and I took our classes to the aviary. Always fun times!

TRANSITION-TO-WORK CLASSES ARE GREAT! Learning new skills at school!!! Thank you to Tracy in the Clelian Kitchen for giving our Transition to Work students , Alex and David the opportunity to learn the steps to run the Industrial Dishwasher. Alex and David cleaned bins used at the Clelian Cafe. Such possibilities give T2W students the skills necessary to be more independent outside of school, either at home or possible community jobs!

Something that has been LOST in our education system, learning how to make a living outside of going to school. Not Everyone is college material, a fact we seem to have lost a LONG time ago !
